Kara Delahunt is a Boston-based photographer who specializes in event, editorial and corporate photography. She has a unique ability to interpret a concept with meaningful images and capture subjects as they are in their environment and moment in time. Previously, she worked in the Washington, DC office of Weber Shandwick, a public relations firm, where she contributed to the development and implementation of public education campaigns and communications initiatives for a variety of clients. Her experience in the public relations arena presented her with opportunities and challenges associated with establishing the right context for communicating issues and concepts. Similarly, she views photography as a useful means of communication and a tool to share experiences, connect people and inspire questions. She attended Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts and earned her B.A. as well as her M.A. at Middlebury College in Vermont. Kara’s photographs appear throughout the Effective Advocates Collaborative website.
